ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
*Menimum Educational Qualification :Candidates should possess Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a Combination of any sub stream of Basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute for Sr.No:A(1-6) Posts, Degree in relevant field from a recognized University/ Institute for Sr.No:A(7,33,34),B Posts, Four years Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field for Sr.No:A(8-32) Posts, Three years Diploma in relevant field for Sr.No:C(1-35,37) Posts, PGDCA/ B.Sc (Computer Science)/ BCA/ DOEACC “A”level course of three years duration or equivalent from recognized University/ Institution for Sr.No:C(36) Post, Diploma in relevant field from a recognized University/ Institution for Sr.No:C(38,40),D Post, Matriculation or its equivalent, State Diploma or All India Certificate in Printing Technology obtained after 3 years course for Sr.No:C(39) Post, Degree in relevant field from Recognised University for Sr.No:E Post.
*Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age limit should be 20 – 35 years for Sr.No:A,B,E Posts, 18 – 33 years for Sr.No:C,D Posts as on 01-01-2015. Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules.
EXAMINATION FEE:Candidates should pay Rs.100/- for UR/ OBC Male candidates through online using Net Banking or debit/ credit card (service charges apply for all other banks, other than SBI, which will be borne by the candidates) or through Challan form in SBI Branch, or Computerized Post Office Pay-in-Slip in SBI Branch (service charges apply). SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Disability (PWD)/ Women/ Minorities and EBC candidates are exempted from fee.
MODE OF SELECTION :Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test/ document verification.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Log on through the website http://www.rrbald.gov.in/.
2. Click on the “ONLINE/E-Application” link.
3. Click on the “New Registration” link.
4. Fill the basic details carefully & select the post applied for.
5. Fill the other details carefully and submit the application form.
6. Registration Number & Password will be displayed on the screen.
7. Login using the Registration Number and Password.
8. Fill other relevant personal details.
9. Now pay the fee through Net Banking/ debit/ credit card/ challan form/ Pay-in-slip.
10. In any branches of SBI (service Charges) apply.
11. Download the blank “Template” by clicking on the link “Download Template”.
12. Affix your colour photograph (of size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm), clear left hand thumb impression,

13. Scan the duly filled “Template” in prescribed format.
14. Submit the application form and take the printout copies of application form for future use.
15. Even after final submission if a candidate wishes to make any modifications.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. Written examination for JE Group - Grade pay Rs 4200/- (Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical &Metallurgical Assistant)will be held on 14.12.2014 and for SSE Group - Grade pay Rs 4600/- (Senior Section Engineer, Chief Depot Material Superintendent,) on 21.12.2014 (on the same day by all Participating RRBs). As the examination is to be held by all RRBs simultaneously, candidates can submit ONLINE application to any one RRB only, for each group.
2. Admission to the written examination will be purely provisional, subject to theirsatisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.Mere issue of call letter/e-admit card to candidates will NOT imply that their candidature has been finally accepted by the RRB. RRBs conduct verification of eligibility conditions, with reference to original documents, only after candidates have qualified in all the stages of examination. RRBs may reject the applications of candidates at any stage of recruitment process in case the candidates are not fulfilling the requisite criteria, and if appointed, such a candidate(s) are liable to be removed from service summarily.
3. Candidates who have been debarred for life from all RRB/RRC examinations or candidates who have been debarred for a specified period which is not yet completed, need NOT apply in response to this Centralised Employment Notice. Their candidature will be rejected during any stage of recruitment as and when detected
4. Candidates submitting more than one application with different particulars like name/ Father’s Name/ Community/photo (face)/ educational and/ or Technical qualification will be summarily rejected & also debarred from RRB examinations as per para 13 given below. A candidate will also be debarred from examinations of all RRBs for a specified period/or lifetime if (i) the candidate submits applications to more than one RRB, (ii) the candidate submits multiple applications for the same post and category, (iii) the candidate submits multiple applications with different community for the same post & category, (iv) the candidate submits multiple applications with different photo (face) and different name for same post & category and (v) the candidate submits multiple applications with different documents for the same post & category
5. Signatures of the candidates on Application Form, Answer Sheet, Question Booklet and other prescribed places should be identical, either in English or Hindi, and must be in running hand and not in block/capital or disjointed letters. Signatures in different style or language, at the time of application, written examination and document verification etc., may result in cancellation of candidature.
6. Candidates should note that only the Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth as recordedin the Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate or an equivalent Certificate as on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted by the RRBs.  In case candidate has changed his name then gazette notification or any other legal document as applicable should be submitted at the time of document verification. Such candidates should indicate their changed name in the application. However other details should match with the Matriculation or equivalent certificate.
7. Preference for post(s) and /or Railway(s)/Unit: Candidates should give their order ofpreference of Category of post(s) and the Railway(s)/Unit while applying. RRB will allot the post and the Railway/ Unit to the selected candidates as per the preference of the candidates subject to merit and vacancy position. However, RRBs reserve the right to allot even non-preferred Post and/or Railway/Unit subject to merit and vacancy position. Selection by RRB does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in the Railways. The function of the RRB is to recommend names of suitable candidates to the Chief Personnel Officer of the Zonal Railway/Production Unit concerned who in turn issues the offer of appointment letter subject to availability of vacancies and candidates being found medically fit and satisfying all eligibility criteria.
8. Ordinarily, a railway servant shall be employed throughout his service on the railway or railway establishment to which he/she is posted on first appointment and shall have no claim as of right for transfer to another railway or another establishment. In the exigencies of service, however, it shall be open to the Competent Authority to transfer the railway servant to any other department or railway or railway establishment including a project in or out of India.
9. Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever training is prescribed for the post.Emoluments on initial appointment will be minimum pay of the Pay Band plus Grade Pay plus other allowances admissible at that time. During training period only stipend will be paid as applicable. Candidates may have to give security deposit and execute indemnity bond wherever necessary. Free Second Class Railway Pass as admissible will be issued to candidates belonging to SC/ST communities when they are called for written examination/document verification, provided they submit/upload valid caste certificate along with ONLINE application.
10. Selected male candidates who are finally appointed are liable for active service in Railway Engineers’ Unit of Territorial Army. Female candidates are also eligible for all the posts. However, it may be noted that some categories involve duties which are arduous in nature and call for working in shifts at odd hours, at road side station and also away from headquarters. The number of vacancies indicated in this Centralised Employment Notice is provisional and may increase or decrease or even become NIL depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration. The Administration also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all. In the event of cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fee paid by the candidates will not be refunded.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Formed in May 2006 at ECoR Headquarters to undertake recruitment to fill up vacancies in Group D categories / posts in East Coast Railway.Khurda Road Division (covering parts of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh), Sambalpur Division (covering parts of Orissa and Chhattisgarh), Waltair Division/ Visakhapatnam (covering parts of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Chhattisgarh), Carriage Repair Workshop, (at Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar), and East Coast Railway Headquarters (at Bhubaneswar).RRC/ECoR is headed by Chairman, RRC who is assisted by 1 APO (Recruitment) 6 Group C staff and 3 Group D staff.RRC/ECoR does not accept employment applications through e-mail.  The applications should be submitted in the prescribed format given in the Employment Notification by ordinary post / application drop box at RRC/ECoR office only.
