 * Minimum Educational Qualification :Candidates should possess degree from a recognized university typewriting proficiency of 30 w.p.m in English or 25 w.p.m in Hindi for Senior Clerk Posts, Matriculation or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate for Junior Clerk Posts, Course completed Act Apprentice ship/ ITI in the relevant trade for Technician Gr.II & Gr.III Posts, for other qualifications refer Employment newspaper.
* Age Limit and Relaxation:Candidates age should be between 18 years to 25 years as on 01-01-2014. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
EXAMINATION FEE:Candidates should pay Rs.60/- Chess ( Senior Clerk) Posts & Rs.40/- for other Posts must be paid through Demand Draft/ Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Asst.Personnel Officer/ ICF payable at Chennai. Candidates must write name, full address at the space provided in the postal order. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from paying fees.
MODE OF SELECTION :Selection will consist of trial followed by a personal interview. Only candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be subjected to the selection process. Candidates are required to bring their original certificates when they are called for the selection process. Only those candidates who are declared FIT in the trial will be called for interview.

Ministry of Railways, Integral Coach Factory
Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, is a premier Production Unit of Indian Railways manufacturing railway passenger coaches. ICF is the first of its kind to be established after Independence for the manufacture of light weight, all steel and all welded railway passenger coaches. The factory was set up in 1955 with Swiss collaboration.ICFs initial plan was to produce 350 Broad Gauge Third Class shells (unfurnished body of the Railway Coaches) only, which were to be furnished by the Zonal Railways workshops. Later, in view of the severe limitation of capacity of the Railway workshops and also to take advantage of mass production, a separate Furnishing Division was added on 2nd October, 1962. The capacity was progressively expanded from the initial 350 shells to 750 fully furnished coaches per annum by 1973-74 with additional inputs. This was enhanced progressively from 850 coaches during 1986-87 to 1000 coaches in 1990-91. The modernization project is under last stage of execution to augment capacity to 1250 coaches and will be over by 2010-11.Capacity is further being enhanced to 1500 coaches per annum through infrastructure additions and modernization of machines.
